Kristin Cavallari may have found fame on reality TV, but she doesn't think people should follow in her footsteps. From her time as a hell-raising party girl on Laguna Beach and The Hills to now as the high profile businesswoman wife of Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, things have changed for her. Cavallaru says she felt "used and manipulated" by MTV on the hit realty show, saying she was pushed into a love triangle and taken advantage of due to her naivety.

In an interview for an episode of Oprah: Where Are They Now that will air this weekend, the now 27-year-old mother of two explains that while Laguna Beach and The Hills may have looked fun, underneath, the stars were being pushed into situations that were manipulative.

Cavallari now feels like Laguna Beach's MTV overlords made hay and took advantage while the teens were going through the normal teen growing pains, even forcing her then-boyfriend Stephen Colletti into a love triangle with her and Lauren Conrad in order to create chaos.

"My boyfriend at the time [Colletti] would take Lauren Conrad to dinner and buy her flowers, which never would have happened if it weren't for the show and MTV," Cavallari says. "I felt very used and manipulated."

What her experience taught her is that she's adamant minors shouldn't do reality TV. "I still, to this day, think that you should have to be 18 to do a reality show, only because of my experience," she says in the special.

"We had no idea what we were doing," Cavallari explains. "We were just going along with whatever MTV was telling us to do."

It's left a bad taste in her mouth, and even at the time, she admits, Cavallari would cry "for hours" after realizing how she was being portrayed on the hit show.

"Being 16, 17 in high school, not knowing really how to handle your emotions or even realizing what's going on, I put up a wall. I put up a really tough exterior because I felt like they were really trying to take advantage of me," she says.

Her villianization -- as she was put up against narrator Conrad -- hurt too. "When I saw it air and saw the way that they represented me, I was really, really upset. I cried for hours and hours after I saw the first episode," Cavallari admits. "I put up a wall and I put up a really tough exterior because I felt like they were really trying to take advantage of me," she adds. "It was really hard."

It didn't stop Cavallari from then replacing Conrad in The Hills -- the program that Conrad starred in alongside Heidi Montag after Laguna Beach finished in 2006 -- for the show's final two seasons before it stopped in 2010. Recently, Colletti and Conrad took part in the 10 year "mini reunion" for Laguna Beach, reports E! Online.

Cavallari, however, has more important things to do. The mother of Camden (born in 2012) and Jaxon (born in May this year) took to Instagram last week to show off her post-baby body only seven months after giving birth to Jaxon.

Just got a nice little workout in. Yes those are baby monitors behind me. #GottaLoveNapTime
