Joe Hart: World Class GK To Lead Man City & England To Glory?

They say a goalkeeper doesn't hit his prime until his thirties, and if that's the case, despite his occasional errors, Joe Hart, has much to look forward to. The 27-year-old GK has been a revelation all-in-all for both Man City, and his country England, but with many critics labelling him as "past it," can he bounce back? Despite signing Willy Caballero, City are set to offer Hart a new contract, according to Manuel Pellegrini. He will join Sergio Aguero, Samir Nasri, Vincent Kompany and David Silva who have all signed five-year contract extensions, and with a 32-year-old Hart in City's ranks, could they, and England, be an unstoppable force by then?

Pellegrini revealed, "I always said it is important for this club to keep Joe with us. Maybe in the next day you will have good news. He is a very good goalkeeper and not only a very good goalkeeper, he is a very important player for the squad also. The arrival of Willy Caballero was very important for the club, for Joe. The best way for players to have high performance is when they have important competition."

City have one of the best squads in Europe, and Aguero, Nasri, Kompany and Silva, arguably four of the best players in England, have all signed long-term deals, so to add Hart to that list, the club would be delighted. Many people have stated that the GK is the foundation of the team, and the leader, calling the shots from the back, which Hart has done very well. Despite his slip ups, it's evident that City still believe that he is the man, and at 27, it's scary to think just how good he might be in ten years time.
