We are just a few hours away from the highly anticipated season 7 series finale on FX. Now that Juice (Theo Rossi), Gemma (Katey Sagal), and Wayne Unser (Dayton Callie) are out of the picture, will Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) suffer the consequences of their deaths in Sons of Anarchy?
In the mind-blowing season fix cliffhanger, we left Jax (Hunnam) cradling his dead wife, Tara (Maggie Siff) in his blood-drenched arms. This past season has been filled with shocking revelations, a major one came from Jax's son, shocking deaths which includes Booby (Mark Boone Junior)'s, and uneasy alliances, especially Chibs (Tommy Flanagan) and Sheriff Althea (Annabeth Gish).
Here are 5 reasons we'll miss Sons of Anarchy after the series finale:
5) No More Guest Stars
In their first episode together, Jax met with white supremacist Ron Tully (Marilyn Manson) inside lockup. In the penultimate episode, we saw Robert Patrick (Scorpion), Michael Chiklis (The Shield), and Charisma Carpenter (Buffy The Vampire Slayer). Even Glee's Lea Michele showed up for a scene.
4) No More Motorcycles
We just loved those shots of SAMCRO riding their bikes across the vast highways. The cinematography caught the western landscape scenery in prefect detail.
3) No More Sex
SOA had its share of steamy sex scenes. There was one episode where everyone was having sex, including Nero (Jimmy Smits) and Gemma, Happy (David Labrava) and a hooker), and Jax and Winsome (Inbar Lavi). Except for Wendy Case (Drea De Matteo) and her vibrator, but then she got back together with Jax.
2) Musical Interludes
Not only can Katey Sagal do comedy like in Married With Children, she can also sing. Sagal covered the classic Greensleeves during the self-titled episode's closing minutes. We so had the music video ending featuring Yelawolf's Till It's Gone.
1) No More Jax Teller
I had no idea who Charlie Hunnam was SOA, but he proved himself to be a notable leading man. Now his career has catapulted, taking him to three Guillermo Del Toro flicks, Pacific Rim, Pacific Rim 2, and Crimson Peak. We hope Hunnam and creator/showrunner Kurt Sutter work together on another project in the future.
Special shout-out goes to Theo Rossi, who delivered one of the best performances in Suits of Woe. We can't wait to see where his career takes off.
The series finale of Sons of Anarchy premieres on FX December 9th at 10pm. Readers, what will you miss the most?
