Carrie Underwood is having a pretty busy week. The American Idol winner just released her brand new greatest hits album, Greatest Hits: Decade #1, and last night she appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to talk about her new music, and her growing baby bump. The singer revealed that she was pregnant back in September with her husband, Mike Fishers, and in the interview she explains her new habit of singing to her belly.
In the video clip from last night's show, Underwood reveals to the host how she has been keeping the baby entertained during his time in her stomach- she sings to him.
"I feel like he kind of feel... he hears me signing whether he would like that or not," the singer told Fallon last night. "I mean, that's what I do, he doesn't have a choice," she jokingly adds.
And it seems that the star feels very self-conscious of her singing, knowing that her little boy is listening in her belly.
"I do feel like I have to sing good all the time. Like, if I'm in my car driving, I feel like I have to make it good because he's listening," the singer explained. "He's always in there."
Underwood and her hubby are expect to welcome their baby boy in the spring of next year, according to Us Weekly, and it seems that their extended family is happy to be adding the newest bundle of joy to their clan.
"Mike's mom shed a few tears," Carrie said. "She was that kind of happy. I have lot of nieces and nephews so my parents were obviously very happy, but they've heard it all before. They have great grandchildren. I'm slow."
Carrie Underwood's new album, Greatest Hits: Decade #1, is currently available and features the two brand new songs, "Something in the Water" and "Little Toy Guns."
