Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice doesn't hit theaters until 2016, but the spoilers and reports have been pouring out for months. The newest rumors focus on the death of one of the characters.

Badass Digest reported a host of rumors about the movie, and the latest report explains that Ben Affleck's version of Batman has been operating in Gotham City for 17 years. That's an interesting detail in and of itself, but the site also notes that Batman's longtime ally, Commissioner Jim Gordon, has been killed during this time. The script reportedly does not mention how it happened or who killed him, but there is a memorial plaque dedicated to his memory.

Badass Digest goes on to explain that most of the movie takes place in Metropolis, though two of the major fight scenes happen in Gotham. One of them features Superman looking for Batman, and the other is the climactic battle in the movie. The site also says that Robin's death was mentioned in the script before writer Chris Terrio came on board, but that detail has since been removed.

Finally, the site reports Batman is the lead in the Justice League movie, and he is the one who assembles the team. Alfred reportedly advises Bruce on his conflict with Superman "by telling him a long tale about two competing samurai who come to blows while trying to save a village."
