Ridley Scott Says Harrison Ford Loves 'Blade Runner 2' Script [VIDEO] Shares Sequel Plot Details, Talks Michael Fassbender In 'Prometheus 2'

This week, Exodus: Gods and Kings director Ridley Scott revealed some promising new updates about two of his upcoming sci-fi sequels. Perhaps the biggest news is that actor Harrison Ford apparently loved the new script of Blade Runner 2, meaning the plot details could hold true to the original movie! Also, Scott answered a big question about Michael Fassbender's character in Prometheus 2, so keep reading to find out more about these new movies. (SPOILERS to follow)

According to Gamma Squad, Scott revealed a big Blade Runner sequel update while speaking with MTV News. Apparently, Ford is into Scott's ideas after seeing the script!

"I sent him [Harrison Ford] the script and he said 'That's the best thing I've ever read.' So it's very relevant to what happened in the first one," the director said. "I'm not just doing a sequel with lots of action and see how far we can with the special effects. Because you can't really. With Blade Runner, we landed on a somehow very credible future. It's very difficult to change that because it's been so influential with everything else. I think the key is to keep the design in its place. Otherwise, it just kills the credibility of what you're watching. An explosion that's too big, you go 'How did he survive that' and you're right out of the movie."

Scott also revealed some more news on another one of his sci-fi film sequels -Prometheus 2. We know that Fassbender's android character, David, lost his head quite literally at the end of the 2012 epic, so how will we see him in the sequel?

"You can't have a person go off into the galaxy and have a person who's still got his head off," Scott explained. "Once that head goes back on, he's really dangerous, but he's also very seductive. So maybe he'll persuade her to help him put the head back."
