MStars News reporter, Star Connor, talked to former NFL and MLB star Deion Sanders -- the head hancho in charge of the hit show, Deion's Family Playbook, that became the highest rated freshman docu-series in OWN history. They chatted about the show, love, divorce, his ex-wife, raising kids and more.

Saturday nights on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network are packed with family and fun, due to the popular docu-series, Deion's Family Playbook, that is currently running on the network with all-new episodes every  9 p.m. ET/PT.

The show follows celebrated sports legend, Deion Sanders, as he raises 10 kids with the help of his devoted mom, Connie, and longtime girlfriend, Hollywood producer and host, Tracey Edmonds. In the new episodes, Deion's already busy life is turned upside down when he decides to sell his longtime home and start the process of moving to South Dallas to be closer to his beloved school, Prime Prep Academy, where he serves as founder and head football coach.

Change becomes the new normal as his household struggles to leave the mansion they call home and acclimate to a downsized living situation. Meanwhile, Tracey is busier than ever as she tries to juggle the upcoming move in Dallas with producing a new film and preparing for her first TV hosting gig in Los Angeles, which creates additional challenges for their already long-distance relationship. In the premiere episode, Deion shocks the family when he reveals the news that they will be moving to South Dallas to be closer to Prime Prep Academy. Additionally, Deion takes his sons, Shilo and Shedeur, to TRUTH camp, where they get a taste of college life. Meanwhile, while Deion is away at camp, Florida decides to entertain back at the house.

During the interview, MStars News reporter Star Connor talked about the show, Deion's academy, his current love life with Tracey Edmonds and the drama surrounding his child custody battle with his ex-wife, Pilar Sanders.

Star: Deion's Family Playbook returned to OWN Nov. 1. How is this season going so far?

Deion: "This season is going unbelievable, I'm happy and elated because the fans and general public are really receiving this season well, we know that by ratings. We're happy, we're ecstatic that people understand the family, and the realness, and truthfulness, the honesty and the integrity that we exemplify."

Star: What makes Deion's Family Playbook different from any other reality show that we're seeing today?

Deion: "It's who we are. This is who I am, this is who Tracey is. This is really my kids, this is really my mother, my aunt, this is real life. We're not using this show as a pedal-stole to leapfrog into another life. We're right where we want to be in life, we just thank God for giving us the opportunity to show you that a real African-American family can coincide, have trials and tribulations, and have problems with resolutions towards the end of the episode."

Star: You previously stated to Bossip: "When the father is present, you don't have to be perfect but you must be present." What did you mean by that?

Deion: "What I meant by that is, all marriages end up in 50% divorces. In the African-American community I would say that, that rate is probably 75%. We got a lot of men that's putting in the work having a child, and not putting in the work really raising the child."

Deion continues, "then you have people that's really angry, and they don't even want to speak, consequently the kid is being held hostage in the anger in hostility between two grown, two adults." He adds, "then you have the case when a woman is using the child to whoop the man, and the man is using the child to whoop a woman and then that's abuse to the child."

Deion says he wants men to know, "you're not going to be perfect, but it's your responsibility to be present in that child's life. Know your daughter's shoe size, know their teachers, know your son's activities." He continues, "when you go through a drive thru, know what your son wants to eat, you should know that, you shouldn't have to turn around and him that, you should be around him enough to know that."

Star: How do you and Tracey Edmonds keep your relationship positive?

Deion: "Tracey is a wonderful single parent as well, she's a co-host of Extra she has her own business, she's stable in California, Beverly Hills to be exact. We have a long distance relationship which my job on the NFL Network takes me to L.A. every weekend anyway, so we get the best of both worlds."

Deion adds, "We would love to have more time with one another, but it is what it is. We have a long distance relationship, we have a blended family, we're happy we're not looking to tomorrow, we just going to focus on today and take care of that."

Star: I'm glad to see you happy again after the chaos that is going on with your ex and Twitter.

Deion: "It's still going on!"

Star: It's still an ongoing battle, so what's your side? It's always two sides to a story.

Deion: "Well, it's no side. I won custody of the kids. It's no side when I'm the one who filed for divorce. It is no side, it is what it is. I've moved on, and I haven't looked back, and I won't look back. I'm happy, my kids are happy, my family's happy."
