Tyler Perry's Hell Hath No Fury Like a Woman Scorned - The Play has arrived on DVD and just in time for the holidays. MStars News reporter, Star Connor had the opportunity to chat with one of the plays characters, Patrece Lovely who plays Miss Hattie (the grandmother of main character, Anita).

Inspired by a successful young woman's real-life adventures, this poignant musical weaves together a strong message of faith, inspiration and strength from which viewers will learn heartfelt life lessons.

Tyler Perry's Hell Hath No Fury Like a Woman Scorned - The Play unfolds through the life of Anita ("Cheryl "Pepsii" Riley), a single woman who has it all -- a great job, a loving family, and the ability to pay for her baby sister's wedding. According to her best friend, however, there's only one thing missing...the love of a good man. At her friend's insistence, she meets the seemingly perfect man online and all seems well until he convinces her to get married in Las Vegas and her life quickly spirals out of control at her new husband's demands. Can she regain the upper hand, or will the tides turn for the worse?

Created, produced and written by Perry, the show touches on themes of love, revenge, betrayal and forgiveness. Taped in front of a live audience, the popular play sold out performances in more than 50 cities across the U.S., and features fan favorite Patrice Lovely (TV's Love Thy Neighbor) reprising her role as Miss Hattie. Also starring Cheryl "Pepsii" Riley (Madea's Big Happy Family, Madea Gets a Job),

Tyler Perry's Hell Hath No Fury Like a Woman Scorned features newcomers Muhammad Ayers, Monica Blaire, Zebulon Ellis and Ray Lavender, who lend their exceptional singing and acting talents to this hilarious, emotionally charged production.

Star: Tell us about your character in the play.

Patrice: "I play Hattie Mae in the hit show, "Love Thy Neighbor," I play that same character in the play Hell Hath No Fury Like A Woman Scorned, and I'm just the rock of the family. I'm just trying to talk some good sense into my granddaughter, [Anita] Cheryl "Pepsii" Riley."

Star: How is this character different from the TV show?

Patrice: "It's pretty much the same. Hattie beats the truth into you, whether you want to hear it or not, if you like it or not. She's still that mother figure, she wants you to be productive and don't allow situations and circumstances beat you down."

Star: How was it working with your cast-mates this time around?

Patrice: "It was the second leg of the tour, where we did the DVD. It's just a wonderful show, Tyler picked some wonderful people to put in these parts." She adds, "of course you know I work with different people everyday when it comes to Tyler and his shows. But these are great loyal and dedicated people,"

Star: What inspired you to become an actress?

Patrice: "God. I didn't do anything. All I know is one day I knew I wanted to be an actress, I never took a class, I never went to school, I never did anything. Your footsteps are ordered. Not saying you shouldn't go out and do what you need to do to have all the tools, but somehow it just chose me." She says, "when you're on a path, you just stay on that path, and everything will come to you, everything will fall in place."

Star: If you could do anything else besides acting, what would it be?

Patrice: "I would love to tell my story. A lot of people don't know where I came from. My mom was a pastor, at that time acting was something not very church, in their minds, 'I don't think that you can get to Heaven that way.'"

She continues, "I would love to write a book, I would love to be doing what I'm doing now. I remember I use to do nails, I use to do cosmetology, but that wasn't my love. My love is acting."

Star: What would you tell someone out there inspiring to be an actor, or an actress?

Patrice: "Just keep pushing. Keep striving. I read a post that Tyler posted the other day, 'The worst thing is not having a dream,' as long as you got a dream and it's in your heart and it's in your spirit, that's what you want, if you keep pushing for it never give up, no matter how it may look, how bad it may sound, just keep pushing."
