Lion Forge Comics has teamed-up with IDW Publishing to continue the '80s classic TV show, Miami Vice, as a comic book series. In writer Joe Casey and artist Jim Mahfood's Miami Vice Remix, Sonny Crockett (played by Don Johnson) and Ricardo Tubbs (Philip Michael Thomas) are back seeking justice, fast cars, and over-the-top action.

The most influential TV show of all time, Miami Vice, first started as New York Detective Rico Tubbs (Thomas) seeking vengeance for his brother murder at the hands of mob boss Calderone. While undercover on assignment, Crockett (Johnson) ended up butting heads with Tubbs as they sought after the same man. An unlikely partnership came about as Tubbs decided to stick around in Miami.

The comic follows the Metro-Dade Police Department detectives through modern-day Miami. Crockett and Tubbs will still be going undercover like their TV counterparts. In their new cases, the two will face off against voodoo, zombies and Crockett's mysterious past.

The Uncanny X-Men scribe teases, "Working with Jim is always a trip and taking on '80s TV icons like Crockett and Tubbs was too good to pass up. Whether you're familiar with Miami Vice or not, this book will burn a hole in your brain."

Lion Forge CEO David Steward II adds, "Comics should be for everyone, regardless of how fans prefer to access and consume content. With IDW's innovative spirit, Lion Forge will reach more readers and bring new life to classic properties like Miami Vice."

IDW Publishing president Greg Goldstein states, "IDW is pleased to help re-imagine one of the most timeless TV shows of our generation. The vibrant artistry and high-quality story telling in Miami Vice Remix is sure to bring readers all the energy and style from the original series."

Miami Vice Remix will hit stores in February 2015. Readers, are you excited to see Tubbs and Crockett back again?
