With audiences early anticipating to binge-watch Marvel's Daredevil, the next Marvel/Netflix series. After proving herself in an epic casting audition, is actress Krysten Ritter ready to become "hooked" as the super-powered private detective in Marvel's Jessica Jones?

As we previously mentioned, Jessica Jones made her debut in the Alias series by Brian Michael Bendis (Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-Man) and Michael Gaydos (The Pulse). Because she suffers from post-traumatic stress, Jones gives up her superhero days and becomes the owner at Alias Private Investigations.

After testing with actresses Alexandra Daddario, Teresa Palmer, Marin Ireland, for the lead role, the Breaking Bad actress tells Cosmopolitan that she is eagerly ready to pounce on the Marvel Universe, "I wasn't, but I am now reading the Jessica Jones comics and devouring them. And I'm hooked. I don't think I've been so hooked on something since Serial. So now I feel that way about the Jessica Jones series. I can't wait. I mean, as soon as we're done today, that's what I am going to be doing. I'm really excited about Jessica Jones. It's so f*cking cool. It's so cool. I can't wait to watch it."

WithTwilight screenwriter and Dexter executive producer Melissa Rosenberg tapped as showrunner on the Netflix show, we have no doubt the Hercules: The Legendary Journeys will do wonders, much like Marvel's Daredevil showrunner Steve DeKnight.

The Blacklist guests star adds, "It's crazy, because I remember, like, six years ago, I was like, 'I just want to work with female directors and female showrunners; there's none.' And I feel like, since then, I've exclusively worked with women, which I love. I worked with Amy Heckerling, Kat Coiro, Jessica Goldberg, Leslye Headland, Nahnatchka Khan, the creator of Don't Trust the B--, who is my idol and bar for anything funny. And now Melissa! It's a dream come true."

As we mentioned before, Jessica Jones is part of Marvel/Netflix's list of superhero dramas. Each show will lead into The Defenders, which puts together Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Daredevil, and Jessica Jones  as one superhero team. Only time will tell when Kristen Ritter's Jessica Jones and Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock will meet.

Krysten Ritter is ready to devour the Marvel's superheroine in the upcoming Netflix Series. Readers, are you excited to see Jessica Jones?
