Robin Roberts Girlfriend: 'Good Morning America' Host Keeps Dating Life Quiet

Fans have come out in swarms to support "Good Morning America" news anchor Robin Roberts, as she made her final appearance on the hit ABC morning television show on Thursday in order to take a medical leave for cancer treatment. Since the news of her departure, social media sites have aroused speculations not only having to do with her impending bone marrow transplant - but her sexuality. "Robin Roberts partner," "Robin Roberts girlfriend," and similar searches are hitting the web like crazy, but such investigations offer up very little information on Roberts' personal life.

Speculations that 51-year-old Roberts may be a lesbian began to surface back in May, when she was interviewed by President Barack Obama. Many inside sources claim that she scored the coveted interview because she is "black and gay." Although she never openly came out as gay, Roberts is unmarried, and she keeps her romantic life very private.

According to one inside source referring back to Roberts' interview with Obama: "It's hardly a secret in the business. I've seen her girlfriend. She's around the building all the time-very attractive and well-dressed."

But Roberts has much more on her plate to worry about than just gossip surrounding her love-life. She is currently battling MDS and plans to undergo bone marrow treatment in September. Following her Thursday leave from "Good Morning America," Roberts' 88-year-old mother ailing passed away. Roberts made it back home to Mississippi just in time for one final farewell.
