Tom Brady has responded to Denver Broncos defensive tackle Terrance 'Pot Roast' Knighton guarantee that his team would win this year's NFL Super Bowl. Knighton also took shots at AFC rivals the New England Patriots in the process as, after Peyton Manning and his Broncos clinched the AFC West title by beating the San Diego Chargers, Knighton claimed the Broncos will be "hoisting that trophy" and he doesn't "give a f-k who they play!" Patriots quarterback Tom Brady addressed the guarantee, shrugging off the Bronco's guarantee saying "Well done is better than well said."

Speaking to The Denver Post's Mark Kisla after the Broncos 22-10 win over the Chargers, Knighton said "It doesn't matter what happens. At the end of the year, we're hoisting that trophy."

He threw the gauntlet further, adding "I don't care if New England doesn't lose again. I don't care where we have to play. I don't care who our opponent is. We're not going to be satisfied until we hoist that trophy."

"So, he continued, "if we've got to go to New England (in the playoffs) and win somewhere we're not used to winning, we're going to make it happen."

Later that night Knighton took to his twitter to back away from the idea of a guarantee, saying: "I didn't guarantee a super bowl win. I just said I don't give a f**k who we play. We as a team have one goal. Being super bowl champs."

To be fair, "Hoisting that trophy" certainly *sounds* like a guarantee the Broncos would win.

Either way, Pot Roast's social media blew up, with the defensive tackle laughing:

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was adamant that whatever Knighton said wouldn't affect him or his team's quest to win their fourth NFL title.

"Pot Roast (Knighton) is a big man, so I would never say anything that would get him mad at me," Brady said in the interview with Westwood One, reports ESPN.

"But, I will just say there is a lot of football left to be played. (The Broncos will) have their chance, and we'll have our chance and we will do our talking on the field. ...

"And," he added, "my dad always told me, 'Well done is better than well said.' In the meantime, we have a lot of football left to play and it starts this weekend Sunday at the Jets and nothing is really clinched at this point. There's still two very important games remaining on our schedule, and that's what my focus is on."

Speaking to ESPN Knighton said "Some people will call it a guarantee, some people will call it whatever they want, you know, anything less than a Super Bowl victory is a disappointing season."

But he wasn't backing away. "I stand by what I said. I don't care who we have to play, where we have to play. We won't be satisfied until we're hoisting that trophy. If New England wins out and we win out and we end up meeting them, we'll have to go there and beat them. It's that simple."

As NESN point out, Knighton's Broncos will, were the NFL playoff match ups to go chalk, "have to go through New England to get to the Super Bowl". The Patriots defeated the Broncos 43-21 on Nov. 2 and are in the driver's seat for home-field advantage in the AFC.

What do you think? Was that a bad move by Pot Roast to guarantee his team will win the Super Bowl? Will they even make it? Can the Patriots or any other team in the AFC prevent them from even making it that far?
