Mel B Domestic Abuse Rumors - The X-Factor UK Judge Leaves Husband Stephen Belafonte Amid Lesbian Confession

It seems that former star of the British girl band Spice Girls, Mel B, has walked out on her husband after seven years of marriage. The UK X Factor judge has left her husband, Stephen Belafonte, after reports arose that he had been physically abusive towards her. The star was not only absent from the semifinals of the show due to an unknown illness, but when she reappeared on the show on December 14, she wasn't wearing her wedding ring, and she appeared to have bruises on her face and arms.

According to British newspaper, The Sun, the Internet went wild with reports and speculation that things weren't going great in the couple's marriage. There are also reports from the newspaper that the star has left her London house, which she shared with Stephen, earlier this week.

Us Weekly is confirming that boxes and luggage were being moved from the couple's house on Monday, December 15.

That's not all that the source is telling the magazine, as they revealed that the couple had a pretty "volatile" relationship with each other. The insider also revealed that while Mel B appeared on the finale for The X-Factor that she could barely hold it together and was seen crying during the commercial breaks.

However, amid the rumors, it seems like Belafonte is taking to his Twitter account to tell his side of the story, writing, "I don't usually respond to Twitter msgs but I will respond to comments of hitting my wife which I think are quite disgusting un true," he began, adding "Mel was very ill a bunch of doctors helped her get better if fans can't just relax B4 being negative they r not real fans of @OfficialMelB."

Could it have been the confession that Mel made about being in a four year relationship with a woman that might have caused her marriage to crumble?

The singer spoke out to The Guardian in an interview earlier this month and talked candidly about her relationship with a woman.

"Well, I did have a four-year relationship with a woman. But I've been very happily married for seven years to a penis. Ha ha! An amazing guy," Mel jokinly revealed.

The former Spice Girls star has yet to comment on the domestic abuse rumors.
