Well, Larry David didn't exactly say he's not going to do another season of HBO's famed Curb Your Enthusiasm, but he kind of ... well, did. In a new interview with Grantland's Bill Simmons, David talked up his new Broadway play Fish in the Dark, his thoughts on all the criticism behind the infamous Seinfeld finale, and yes, whether or not he's doing another season of Curb.

It's a question he's probably asked numerous times a day, everyday, ever since the year 2011: Will there be another season of Curb Your Enthusiasm? But during his new interview for Grantland, David is rather candid about doing one, saying that it's not out of the question. However, when pushed a tad, it seems he's not too keen on doing one. Why? Because of all the hubbub and criticism from the end of Seinfeld.

"I'm reading between the lines and it doesn't sound like you're doing another season," Simmons says to David. To which the famed comedian replies, "Like I said. ... I guess the odds would be against it. I guess right now the odds would be against it, probably 6 to 1."

Watch David's interview with Simmons for Grantland here or below. And for the interaction on Curb, skip over to the 41:00 mark.

After the statements, Simmons seemingly tries to persuade David (or he's just chatting like a normal person because he's a fan) to try and push for a 90-minute ender or mockumentary that wraps the whole series up.

"You know, I got so much grief from the Seinfeld finale that a lot of people intensely disliked that I no longer feel the need to wrap things up."

Simmons then interjected that it sounded like the Curb lead is still angry over the immense disapproval many fans had over the finale. And while David denied the anger, he did admit that it taught him a lesson. "... if I ever did another show I wasn't going to wrap it up."

For the entire interview, hop on over to Grantland.
