The season 6 countdown of White Collar officially ended with the series finale on USA Network. After the end credits, audiences want to know if Peter Burke (Tim DeKay) will return in a special TV movie after Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer)'s shocking last con.

As we mentioned here, the sixth season began with Peter (DeKay) and Neal (Bomer) teaming together to infiltrate the crime syndicate known as the Pink Panthers. As the story arc continues, Matthew Keller (Ross McCall) warns Neal that even if they incarcerate the Pink Panthers, they are still wanted men. Behind bars, the Pink Panthers will hunt them down until they are dead.

In our recent recap, Peter brought down the entire Pink Panthers organization, with the help of Diana (Marsha Thomason) and Jones (Sharif Atkins). Peter couldn't save Neal though when Keller fired a gun at him. As Neal lied on the floor caked in blood, Peter faced Keller in a deadly standoff and shot Elizabeth's kidnapper in the head.

A year has now passed, with Peter still mourning over the loss of his friend, until a special gift arrived at his doorstep. Putting the clues together, Peter discovered Neal had faked his own death. In the open-ending, Peter knows his best friend is still alive, but will he visit Neal in Paris, to stop him from planning a heist at the Louvre Museum?

In an interview with TV Line, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. actor answers if is there a chance for a TV movie to tidy things up left open in the series finale. DeKay responds, "I don't know. I think in the past, I would have said, 'No, I don't see that being a possibility,' but Veronica Mars kind of broke the mold with that. So I'm not going to say it would be impossible. I certainly would entertain that possibility, but right now, there aren't any plans to have a movie."

Bomer adds, "I would definitely want to do it just to get the chance to work with Tim and Willie Garson and Marsha Thomason and Sharif Atkins and Tiffani Thiessen again."

We previously mentioned, creator/showrunner Jeff Eastin teased there may be more of a story to tell,"Somebody asked me if we would ever do a White Collar TV movie or something, and I would say you can always do a prequel."
