Who knew Dave Matthews was such a ... slapper? In a new video out from Rockbridge Guitar Company, the ones who made one of the Dave Matthews Band frontman's many guitars, the famed musician and guitar-maker go face-to-face in an INTENSE slap fight that has seemed to have gone on for quite some time, perhaps even through DMB's 2014 Summer Concert Tour, where they unveiled the now famous two-set concerts –– one acoustic set comprised of the band followed by a rocking set, which crowds are used to seeing.

At 4:43, the below video shows Matthews and Calhoun having it out not only during a number of jam sessions, but also while the guitarist is on tour, when he's swimming (in some totally kick a$$ pool!) and even after Calhoun is done getting a relaxing massage. Our guess is after that slap he needed another massage to calm himself down.

Check out the video of Matthews and Calhoun going at it below:

Did anyone else cringe at multiple parts in the above video? Seriously, the looked hella painful! Of all the times we've heard Matthews sing about peace, love and happiness, we never once heard about slapping the crap out of your friends. Unless, of course, "Satellite" was originally called "Slap-I-Like," but we doubt it ... because that's awful.

Oh well, we guess we'll just have to take another listen to the extensive Dave Matthews Band catalogue.

Readers, what did you think of the Matthews-Calhoun slap-a-thon 2014? Did it make you want to purchase an instrument from Rockbridge Guitar Company? May want to think before you answer ... you just might get slapped!
