Are you ready for a trip into the future with Parks and Recreation? Well you better get ready because the series has just premiered the first trailer for its highly anticipated last and final season and it is taking us to the year 2017. Get ready for more Notebook references, space droids, and a new name for Gerry/Larry/Gary/whatever you call him.

The new trailer for Parks and Rec has been released and it looks epic in more ways than one. The NBC series, which has made us laugh, cry, and get up and dance, is sadly leaving us in the next couple of weeks.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the clip will bring us to the very near future as we travel to the year 2017. Though it's just three short years away, it looks like there are a lot of great new inventions, for example what is that tablet that April is using?

Plus fans will get to see the new lives of some of their favorite characters as Tom (Aziz Ansari) has become business mogul just like he has always wanted, Leslie (Amy Poehler) is part of the National Parks Service, and Andy (Chris Pratt) is the host of his own TV series. It seems like their lives can't get much better.

Also set to make appearances in the new season will be Jon Hamm, Billy Eichner, Megan Mullally, Rashida Jones, and Rob Lowe, according to E! News.

The season will debut on NBC January 13, where the show will burn through back-to-back episodes for six weeks before premiering the one-hour series finale at the end of February.
