Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow sure does love posting exclusive teaser images of his 2015 summer blockbuster to get fans excited. This week, the filmmaker wished his Twitter followers "happy Holidays," but shared a brand new photo of two stars of his film: Chris Pratt and one of the most dangerous movie dinosaurs of all time, a Raptor. Just like the teaser trailer from last month, fans have been reacting to how friendly the Raptor seems with Pratt's character. Check out this new image below! (SPOILERS to follow)

What do you think of this photo? Why is Pratt so chummy with this killing machine? Maybe it's just a photo of Pratt posing next to the creature while taking a break from filming. We turn to a recent interview with the director to clarify some of the confusion.

"[Pratt's character]Owen's relationship with the raptors is complicated. They aren't friends. These animals are nasty and dangerous and they'll bite your head off if you make the wrong move," Trevorrow explained earlier this year to Slash Film. "But there are men and women out there today who have forged tenuous connections with dangerous predators. That's interesting territory to me."

He added: "Chris Pratt's character is doing behavioral research on the raptors. They aren't trained, they can't do tricks. He's just trying to figure out the limits of the relationship between these highly intelligent creatures and human beings. If people don't think there's potential in those ideas, maybe they won't like this movie. But I ask them to give it a chance."

Hopefully that clears up some of the worries of the film ... or maybe it adds more concern. Either way, Jurassic World is one of the most anticipated films of 2015. Will you be headed to theaters to check it out? Let us know in the comments section below!
