Chris Lighty Dead, Ruled As Suicide

Chris Lighty as found dead in his Bronx apartment on Thursday August 30, 2012.  His death was ruled as a suicide on Friday according to the medical examiner.

What could have sparked the 44-year-old hip hop mogul to take his own life and leave behind his 6-year-old boy Jaden?  That is still a mystery to be solved.

First reports that came out about Lighty's death said that his ex-wife Veronica Lighty was in an argument with him before he shot himself in the head.  

Veronica, 36, is currently disputing that rumor.  According to the NY Daily News, her friend Norman Downes speaking on her behalf said, "He was in a lot of pain and he possibly had some financial difficulties.  But they didn't get into a fight that day."

Downes also added that, "The only person that really knows is Chris, and he ain't here."

Lighty was the long time manager of musicians including Mariah Carey, Ja Rule, 50 Cent and more.  He will be missed.
