Tripwire Interactive's 'Killing Floor 2' PS4 Game Releases 'Developer Diaries 3' - Weapons & Perks! [WATCH]

For their upcoming sequel to the first-person shooter game on PlayStation 4, Tripwire Interactive has released its latest installment of the multi-part developer diary series, focusing on the weapons and perks. For the PS4, Killing Floor 2 will feature a virtual armory with weapons of all types.

According to Dread Central, the narrative focuses on an outbreak released onto continental Europe. Horzine Biotech's failed experiment has quickly spread, leaving civilization in complete disarray. With the death count rising to incredible numbers, the lucky survivors have gone into hiding as military forces have become eliminated.

The game focuses on a group of heavily armed civilians and deadly mercenaries as they have banded together to combat the outbreak. The gamer has to establish privately funded operation bases across Europe for survivors. While tracking specimen clone outbreaks, players will then descend into zed-laden hot zones and exterminate them one by one.

In the latest developer diaries, in Part 1, the interactive team gives an inside look at what it takes to push the weapons and perk systems. Notice how the graphics extend to capturing high-quality, realistic guns in their games. Players will get to gear up on traditional weaponry, sci-fi-themed armaments, and even gain special post-apocalyptic hybrid arms.

John Gibson, President of Tripwire Interactive, explains what it takes to be certified gun nut, "With Killing Floor 2, what we really what to do with weapons is, 'What would be fun to kill the zeds with?' A lot of it is looking at the favorites from Killing Floor 1, that we want to bring back."
