Azealia Banks, Iggy Azalea Beef: Rapper Calls T.I. A ‘Coon,' Claims Tiny Harris Is Illiterate, Compares Hip Hop To Slavery

Rapper Azealia Banks opened up about her beef with rapper Iggy Azalea in a tearful interview with Hot 97.

The rap star says explained her beef with rapper T.I. and racial issues with white artist in Hip Hop, "I feel just like in this country whenever it comes to our things-like Black issues or Black politics or Black music-there's always this undercurrent of kinda like a 'f*ck you.'"

Recently, Iggy Azalea was nominated for a Grammy for best rap album and Azealia says that the new star doesn't hold up to high standards to be nominated, "That Iggy Azalea sh*t is not better than any f*cking Black girl that's rapping today," she said. "The Grammys are supposed to be accolades for artistic excellence. Iggy Azalea's not excellent...All it says to White kids is, 'You're great; you're amazing. You can do whatever you put your mind to and what it says to Black kids is, 'You don't have sh*t. You don't own sh*t, not even the sh*t you created for yourself."

The 23-year-old compared the Hip Hop being the only thing she has to hold on to since African Americans still can receive reparations for slavery, "The basis of modern capitalism is slave labor...the selling and trading of slaves," she said tearfully. "There are still huge corporations that are still caking off this slave money...At the very f*cking least you owe me the right to my f*cking identity and to not exploit that sh*t. That's all we're holding on to with hip hop and rap."

Known for her outspokenness, the "212" rapper slammed rapper T.I. for exploiting his wife, Tiny, who she claims cannot read, "You got fuckin' coon head ass T.I. out here trying to promote this White b*tch," Azealia ranted. "Whitey got your wife on VH1 and that b*tch can't f*ckin' read. You got your priorities mixed up...You're a f*ckin' shoe-shining coon...Your wife can't read."
