President Barack Obama recently made headlines when he admitted that he and First Lady Michelle Obama have time and time again been mistaken for "the help" on numerous occasions. Well, The View producers heard about this and thought it'd be wonderful fodder for some possible discussion between the hosts. What they didn't expect (okay, maybe they did a little bit) was there to be an all out heated argument between hosts Rosie O'Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg over racism v. stupidity.

The Hollywood Reporter notes that the discussion was initially just that –– a discussion. That is, however, until the idea of whether or not someone mistaking the Leader of the Free World for the help or a valet is racist or mere ignorance, both O'Donnell and Goldberg tried to get their point across the only way they knew possible ... by yelling.

Rosie Perez and guest host from Orange is the New Black Laverne Cox both seemed to agree that "the real issue was people failing to recognize" both the President and the First Lady, which Goldberg seemed just fine with.

She noted that she's "been black for 60 years" and believes the aforementioned comments about the President and his lovely wife were made by "dumb folks" because they just weren't paying attention. "I just see it as stupid. That's just me," she said.

O'Donnell, however, didn't quite see if that way. She and host Nicolle Wallace vouched their beliefs, saying that they felt it was particularly racism-based. And then, well, all hell broke loose and all you could hear were yells and not necessarily any words.

Check out the heated debate (aka the screaming match) below:
