Week 16 of the NFL season set most of then playoff picture in stone. But there are still some holes to fill. Here are the standings as they look right now, according to Sports Illustrated:

NFC:

1. Seattle Seahawks (11-4)

2. Detroit Lions (11-4)

3. Dallas Cowboys (11-4)

4. Carolina Panthers (6-8-1)

5. Green Bay Packers (11-4)

6. Arizona Cardinals (11-4)

For the Falcons to get in, they need to beat the Carolina Panthers in Week 17. The Lions and the Packers have both clinched playoff berths, but the winner of the Week 17 matchup between the two teams will decide who enters the postseason as North Division champions and No.2 seed and who goes in as a wild card. The South will be won by a sub-.500 team, either way. That team, either the Panthers or Falcons, will be the No.4 seed and get a first round home game, somehow.

AFC:

1. New England Patriots (12-3)

2. Denver Broncos (11-3*)

3. Cincinnati Bengals (9-4-1*)

4. Indianapolis Colts (10-5)

5. Pittsburgh Steelers (10-5)

6. San Diego Chargers (9-6)

The Patriots earned a first-round bye by beating the Jets, 17-16 on Sunday. That bye will turn into home-field advantage throughout the postseason if the Broncos lose on Monday night to the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals have to win or beat the Steelers in Week 17 to get in. Win both and they control their own destiny. The Baltimore Ravens are currently 9-6 and looking in from the outside of the playoff picture. But all hope isn't lost. If the Ravens beat the Browns in Week 17, a Chargers loss or two Bengals losses will get the birds in. The Kansas City Chiefs' (8-7) hopes depend on the fortunes of other teams. Both the Texans and Chargers need to lose, according to Bleacher Report.

Here's to a wild Week 17.
