'The View' Rosie O'Donnell Threatens To Quit, Whoopi Goldberg Drama Gets Worse: Future Of ABC Talk Show Not Looking Great

Another day, another feud on The View, and once again it is happening between two of the main co-hosts: Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O'Donnell. The two have gotten into some pretty heated argument since the show started its new season earlier this year, but it looks like the battle got pretty heated on Dec. 13's episode. When the topic of racism came up, Rosie and Whoopi's fighting escalated to the point where Rosie was going to quit the show altogether.

In the video clip that was posted to YouTube, Whoopi gets pretty heated when talking about race, and she hit some of Rosie's buttons in the process.

"Listen, you are a white lady telling me what is racist to you, which is fine," Whoopi said to Rosie.

"I'm a gay American that has been called a dyke," Rosie fired back to Whoopi, who claimed, "It's not the same."

Rosie then mentioned the fact that she is the mother to a black child: "I have a black kid I raise, Whoopi. I have a black kid in my house."

But that didn't seem to get the point across to Whoopi, either, as she once again stated, "It's not the same."

Trying to drop the subject, Rosie added, "You don't have to be black to know what racism is."

But it seemed like Whoopi wanted the last word, firing back once again at Rosie, saying, "Yes, you do."

But it seems that Radar Online is getting the background scoop on the fight, saying that producers wanted to use a split screen if the fighting between the two continued, which was why the star quit the show the first time around.

"Rosie went absolutely ballistic, pointing out that was the reason she had quit the first time," the source explained. "She threatened to walk out yet again, so using the split screen was ultimately shelved."
