PMG Gospel's first album release, Grown Folks Gospel, by mega-selling gospel artist J Moss, debuted on Billboard at No. 1. Grown Folks Gospel marks the first release by the newly formed gospel music recording label by Paul Allen, Walter Kearney and J Moss.

Just a few days following the album's release, it gained the highest position on the Apple iTunes gospel charts. Grown Folks Gospel, marks Moss's fourth consecutive No. 1 album release.

MStars News reporter Star Connor spoke with the trailblazing gospel music superstar as he embarked on an aggressive digital marketing and publicity campaign in the weeks leading up to the release, which included stops at TV One's News One Now, ARISE TV, essence.com, bet.com, Sister 2 Sister magazine, The Rickey Smiley Morning Show, The Yolanda Adams Morning Show and more.

Additionally, J Moss headlined tour stops in Atlanta, New York, Chicago, Miami and Baltimore leading up to the album's release.

"This initial response to Grown Folks Gospel confirms my belief that people really do want true, feel-good music," says album producer Paul "PDA" Allen. "I look forward to continue showing the industry that this kind of music is wanted in today's marketplace."

Grown Folks Gospel is currently available in stores and on iTunes now. The album features the standout chart topping radio single "Alright OK," produced by PAJAM — Paul "PDA" Allen and J Moss — and also Moss's duet with R&B diva Faith Evans, "You Make Me Feel." Moss's signature vocals can also be heard on the new radio favorite "Fall at Your Feet." J Moss's new album Grown Folks Gospel is available in stores and online now.

Star: PMG Gospel's first album Grown Folks Gospel debuted on Billboard's Gospel Charts at No. 1. How does that feel?

J Moss: This one is probably the most special out of my consecutive No. 1s, this is my fourth consecutive No. 1 album debuting in its first week. The one is the most special, again because it's our own label, myself, Walter Kearney and Paul Allen. We had eyes on becoming a label for many years, as we tried to wait on the right opportunity.

Star: You previously headlined tours to promote the new album in New York, Chicago, Miami and more. Are you looking to hit the road in 2015, too?

J Moss:Oh, yes, we definitely have to hit it, we are thinking of creative ways to do that now, even putting on a tour ourselves. Just allowing people to see Grown Folks Gospel, live and in person, so yeah we're are definitely making the relationships and the connections now to get that going into 2015.

Star: How has it been working along with your friends Paul Allen and the rest of the company?

J Moss: It's always good, you know we've been brothers for the last 15, 17, 20 years, it helps. ... You don't have to worry about the surface stuff now, whose taking the spotlight, whose not, we don't have those kind of issues. We still fight like brothers, we still knock out, and drag out and be at each other's throats in the name of brotherhood, and trying to make sure everybody wins. It's not about leaving another brother behind, or things of that nature, or taking advantage of.

MStars News previously learned that Moss suffered a complete lost of his house in a fire, but made sure the damages didn't affect his faith in Christ.

Star: You and your family recently lost eveything in an unexpected house fire. How has it changed you, and is there any updates in regards to the fire?

J Moss: The fire showed me who I was. The fire really served as an mirror for me, and because it didn't know me off my block as I thought it would, it kind of showed me where I stood in terms of my faith walk. ...

I was very proud of myself, you know looking back over that whole ordeal, and in some kind of way I knew that everything would be OK, things would work out. I wasn't all broken to pieces, or like, "Oh, my goodness, where's my stuff, and how am I going to do this, do that." It was just kind of like, I know God has it. ... You write all these songs for people, and you help them but when it's your turn, you're all flustered. ...

You have to stop living like that, if we're the leaders, if God has chosen us to be in front of people, and we're telling them "God can, and God will" when things happen, we have to believe that God can, and God will.
