All she wants for Christmas is NOT you. Just when it seemed that things were looking up in Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon's divorce, everything went south again. The couple may be in the throws of a messy separation, but the two have maintained the status quo for the sake of their children, such as spending the holidays together. However, while they were together over Thanksgiving, it doesn't seem like they want any part of being together for Christmas.
E! News is reporting that Mariah is the one who changed her mind regarding spending time with her estranged husband over the holidays.
"The original plan had been for the whole family to spend Christmas together in Colorado," an insider revealed. "However, Mariah has now asked Nick not to come."
While it looked like the couple spent a joyful Thanksgiving season together, as Mariah indicated on her Instagram account, it appears that the pair did a lot of fighting behind the scenes. For the sake of her kids, the singer has decided to not have Cannon come and spend Christmas with them.
"It's based on a few things," the insider revealed. "For starters, they spent Thanksgiving together and fought behind the scenes. How is it healthy for the kids if both parents are technically in the same place but fighting?"
Despite her not wanting him to come, it seems that Nick is still planning to be with his kids tomorrow.
A rep for the America's Got Talent host, says that Nick "says he's [still] coming," however it seems that "if they do end up spending Christmas together, it will most likely be their last. It's getting too hard for her."
