Following the first few weeks of the NBA regular season, the Rockets snag the impressive No. 5 spot in Marc Stein's official NBA power ranking for ESPN.com with a 20-7 winning record:

"Picking our Trimester MVPs this week and James Harden's case is as good as anyone's. He's leading the league in scoring, No. 9 in PER (25.04), tied for No. 3 in minutes per game, generating the occasional compliment about his defense and has Houston at 8-4 in games Dwight Howard has missed."

Meanwhile, the Grizzlies currently hold the awesome No. 2 spot (out of 30 total teams) with 21 wins and only seven losses. According to Stein:

"If we had issued these rankings Thursday morning, it would have been hard to resist nudging the Grizz into the top spot after their stirring back-to-back wins over the Warriors and Spurs (on the road in three OTs). All that matters now, of course, is making sure Zach Randolph's right knee is right."
