The Brooklyn Nets battle it out on the court against the Boston Celtics in Week 8 of the 2014 regular season on Friday, December 26 at 1:00 p.m. EST at the legendary TD Garden in MA. Following the first few weeks of the NBA regular season, the Nets snag the No. 20 spot in Marc Stein's official NBA power ranking for ESPN.com with a 12-15 winning record:

"Don't want to dwell on the 1-13 record against .500-or-better teams or Mason Plumlee thriving in Brook Lopez's absence or the fact that Brooklyn has no incentive to miss the playoffs because Atlanta would get its lottery pick. Can I get away with focusing on how much I like those blue-and-grey unis?"

Meanwhile, the Celtics currently hold the meager No. 24 spot (out of 30 total teams), with 10 wins and 16 losses. According to Stein:

"In the wake of the Rondo deal, Brad Stevens told SB Nation's Paul Flannery he plans to stick it out in Boston no matter what college interest inevitably comes. It'll be a long road back to prominence for the Celts, but they have lots of assets and young pieces to work with ... Stevens among them."

The game will be broadcasted live on local channels CSNNE and YES, but fans can also listen in on the radio at WIOL, WFAN, WIBC, ESPN 760, and 940 WINZ.
