Now that we are at the end of December and a few days away from the January premiere, ABC has released another official trailer for the upcoming spy/action drama. In Marvel's Agent Carter, will Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) discover a mission that truly matters after Captain America's death?

We previously mentioned here that the story follows Peggy (Atwell) as she tries to balance an office job within the male-dominated Strategic Scientific Reserve, while going on secret missions with Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper). While Peggy attempts to pull off her juggling act, Stark has been framed for selling weapons on the black market. Can she keep a low profile while trying to clear Stark's name?

From what we know so far, the series will take place after the events of Captain America: The First Avenger. Decades will pass as Peggy continues to live her life, grieving for Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) until his reappearance in the sequel, Captain America: Winter Soldier. Between those two films, Peggy and Stark will become the founding fathers of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the Marvel One Shot.

Where does Agent Carter take place in the timeline? Executive producer Michele Fazekas tells Entertainment Weekly, "That will essentially be the last thing that ever happens in the series. We will never have S.H.I.E.L.D. in this series. So, in some regard, the One Shot is the end of the series."

As we mentioned before,  the series premiere will be a special two-hour event. Though originally an eight-episode arc, ABC has now tightened up the series into a seven-part television event. The debut will take place in a two-hour time slot, from 8:00-10:00 p.m ET.

The first two episodes of Marvel's Agent Carter premieres January 6 on ABC. Readers, which of the two posters do you prefer?
