Donald Moeller Rape Victim's Mother Ready to Fly Out to View His Death Execution

Donald Moeller raped and murdered 9-year-old Becky O'Connell more than 20 years ago in South Dakota.  He will face his execution between October 28 and November 3 and Becky's mother Tina Curl has guaranteed her spot to witness the last breath of her daughter's murderer.

Curl told the Daily News Tuesday, "We've raised all the money.  Anything extra will be put towards Beck's funeral."

Due to Curl's heart condition, she is unable to fly and would have to take the 1,600 miles long drive from New York to South Dakota to see Moeller's execution.  Approximately $4000 was needed in order to cover all travel and hotel expenses.

Curl and husband, Dave Curl, are currently unemployed and living on $720 dollars per month.  While Curl did not have enough funds to trek to South Dakota, a neighbor of hers helped to set up a PayPal account and fund at a local credit union to fundraise for her.  Over $4000 was gathered nationwide.

However, donations were not the only thing she received.  Many negative comments spurred out telling Curl to let go of the past and to move on with her life.

"Everybody wants to put me down because I want to be there to see the execution.  Unless you've walked in my shoes, don't judge me. Don't tell me what you would do if it happened to you. You don't know until it happens to you," Curl said.

Curl's daughter was reportedly kidnapped from a local convenient store and taken to a secluded area where she was raped, stabbed and slashed at the neck.  Her dead body was found the next morning.

Curl admits that witnessing the execution is not what will bring closure, however she is adamant about being there. The couple will take off from New York on October 25.
