RHOA Cynthia Bailey Says Apollo Nida & Phaedra Parks Hug Was 'Awkward' To Watch

"Real Housewives of Atlanta" reality star, Cynthia Bailey agrees with viewers that Phaedra Parks' and Apollo Nida's hug was awkward to watch.

The model told BravoTV, "I did not think that it was awkward that Apollo showed up to Demetria's event. Peter and I were told that all the ladies and their husbands were invited, which is why Peter came with me."

She continued, "I had not seen Phaedra and Apollo together since the reunion, and they appeared to be very united as husband and wife. In the past, regardless of whatever issues may have been going on behind closed doors, in public (or at least when I have been in their presence) Phaedra has always carried herself as a loving and supportive wife. It was awkward to see her so uncomfortable."

Phaedra also admitted that h moment was awkward for her, "It was not difficult at all, but quite uncomfortable. Not only uncomfortable for me, but I would think uncomfortable for everyone else as well. I cannot think of a more inappropriate time or place to have a private conversation about our marriage than in the middle of a nightclub during the premiere of a music video."

 She told BravoTV, "At that particular place in time, the tension in our relationship was at an all-time high. And even though Apollo had not been around much, the stress was ever present as was evident. I was just really hoping he would not create a scene. My goal was to not fan any of his ego flames, nor have a private conversation in a public place. Everybody knows it would be better to let your slip show a little bit in order to avoid the possibility of having to show your entire ass."
