LeBron James has clammed his Cleveland Cavaliers teammates, saying they're "not a very good team" at the moment. The NBA superstar and four-time MVP blasted his team - including fellow 'Big Three' stars Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving (who didn't play due to a knee injury) - after a loss to the Detroit Pistons amid growing buzz that the team and organization are worried about first-year coach David Blatt.
Following their shock 23-point loss to the lowly Pistons - which Kelly Dwyer of Yahoo! Sports called "Sadly typical of Cleveland's usual 2014-15 low points" - ESPN'S Dave McMenamin reported that James bluntly told reporters "We're not a very good team."
"As far as on the court, we're still trying to find our way as well," said the two-time NBA champ and four-time NBA MVP. "We've won some good games, we've lost some games. But right now, we're just not very good in every aspect of the game that we need to be to compete every night."
According to ESPN's Brian Windhorst, within the Cleveland Cavaliers organization there's a "growing level of worry" regarding Blatt and the way he's coaching the team.
Windhorst reports LeBron James saying that he thinks his "relationship with the coach continues to get better and better every day," said the Cavs star. "This is two months of us being together. I don't know him fully. He doesn't know me fully. He doesn't know any of the guys fully and that's to be expected. It's our first year together. But he has our attention."
He added that Blatt is "not concerned" about losing his team, and that he's more concerned with how they're playing.
ESPN's McMenamin called LeBron's comments "a tepid endorsement. He twice said DB has their attention; said he's happy w/ him, but gave no ringing examples."
LeBron James when asked if David Blatt is the "right" coach for the Cavs: "Yeah, I mean, he's our coach, what other coach do we have?"

LeBron: "We haven't been together long. People want instant success so much in our sport and I think that's too hard to ask for ..."

He added, however, that "Kyrie Irving, on the other hand, was strong in his support: 'I'll do anything for Coach Blatt and I know players share the same (sentiment)'."

A lot of the team's problems, says CBS Sport's Matt Moore, comes down to consistency and execution. He pointed out on twitter that the Cavs offense is ranked "4th overall" but drops 1o "19th among all teams in respective losses."
Wow. The Cavs' offense is 4th overall per possession. In losses, they drop to 19th, among all teams in respective losses.

The three teams above the Cavs in PPP remain 1-2-3 in their losses. — Hardwood Paroxysm (@HPbasketball) December 29, 2014
That's a pretty big deal. The Cavs' offense is awesome when it works, and goes into sub-mediocrity when it doesn't. No consistency.

Could we see LeBron force some changes in Cleveland?
