Legendary boxing champ Floyd Mayweather is one of the highest-paid athletes... ever. Therefore, giving away a whopping $1 million is really no big deal, right?

But unfortunately, that's not happening.

This [hoax] Facebook post started going viral online earlier this week:

Funny Videos and Interesting Things: "IT'S OFFICIAL! Money Team Giveaway! I will give away 1 Million Dollars to one Lucky fan. There is only a couple of days left to enter. All you have to do to enter is:
1. LIKE My Page real fast. 2.SHARE this post quick.
Winner will be picked at random! Good luck!"

Sounds promising, but still very shady. The "giveaway" isn't even shared on Mayweather's official page.

The "Team Money" hypeman mentions nothing on Instagram, although he continues flaunting his crazy wealth and celebrity fame...

floydmayweather: "@JustinBieber Welcome to the Jet Club! Yes, I got a 14 passenger jet. Got to give them another reason to hate, but I will motivate the people that are ambitious and want to be winners in life. I am guilty! I'm materialistic & I'm motivated by money... but GOD is first in my life. GOD will not give you anything you can't handle. That's why GOD gave me the best hands in the business to pray with, box with and count money with. #AirMayweather."

The suspicious gossip webloid NYMeta.com first reported about the $1 million "prize." Other than that, details remain unconfirmed. Because the entire thing's fake.

Still, the bogus post got more than 7,000 "shares" and counting on Facebook so far...

Joyce Riley: "I hope it's not fake and he sends this blessing my way."

Cheri Mcwhirter: "That's what a great fighter exudes! Class!"

Abbas D Corleone Hamiti: "Do people really belive this BS,? Floyd would never even give it to his mom, [nevermind] to give 1 mill to a stranger. Who the hell makes up this sh*t?"

Joszet Vaughan: "Like and share that easy huh!!"

Melvin Strickland: "sounds to true to be good."

RumorFix.com first busted the cyber hoax.

Sorry, no easy New Year's money here! Check out Mayweather's real Facebook for any updates.
