When The Hunger Games: Mockingjay cast aren't stepping onto the red carpet, they are doing an important good deed for humanity. In a PSA for the Ebola Survival Fund, Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth banded together to discuss the facts and set the record straight about the virus outbreak in West Africa.

According to its official website, the Ebola Survival Fund supports a coalition of community-based organizations working in Liberia and Sierra Leone, in order to complement the efforts of the larger-scale programs being implemented by international organizations. All programming funded by the Ebola Survival Fund supports existing national plans in both Liberia and Sierra Leone, in coordination with the United Nations Ebola response effort.

The video begins with news footage about the New York doctor diagnosed with Ebola symptoms. Among those eight patients treated with Ebola in the America, all of them survived, but there are more than 19 thousand cases in West Africa who still need treatment.

Jeffry Wright, who also produced the PSA, recruited his fellow Hunger Games colleagues to star in the video. Lawrence, Hutcherson, Hemsworth, Julianne Moore, Mahershala Ali, and Partners in Health founder Paul Farmer joined together to showcase the facts and remind others how aid is still needed in West Africa.

Wright discusses with Entertainment Weekly about the recent hysterical media coverage of Ebola in the United States, "I just found it intensely ignorant, not only of the realities in West Africa, but also enormously lacking in self-awareness about who we are, what we're capable of, and what our privileged position in the world community means."

We previously mentioned, the Winter's Bone actress spent her Christmas Eve bringing holiday cheer to sick kids at a children's hospital. In a super touching moment, the X-Men: First Class starlet visited Kosair Children's Hospital and helped spread the holiday spirit. The Louisville Cardinals basketball fan visited the hospital last year as well.

Jeffrey Wright, Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and the rest of the Hunger Games cast banded together to deliver a PSA for the Ebola Survival Fund. Readers, what do you think of the lack and white video?
