Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth: Holly Robinson Peete Update on Michael Clark Duncan's 'Devastated' Fiancee

According to Omarosa Manigault Stallworth's close and dear friend, actress and singer Holly Robinson Peete, the former "Apprentice" star was very much in love with fiancé Michael Clarke Duncan.  With the "Green Mile" star's sudden passing on Monday, Sept. 3, Stallworth (who wanted to marry and start a family with the 54-year-old actor) found herself not only completely devastated - but also forced back into the public eye. According to Peete, Stallworth is "doing as well as she can" and is currently planning an event to celebrate her fiancé's life.

Peete, who visited Duncan in the hospital before his passing on Monday, talked with "Access Hollywood Live" hosts Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Wednesday. When asked about the celebrity couple's relationship and on how well Stallworth is faring with her grief, Peete states, "They loved each other so much... They just had something really magical - they were planning a wedding in Africa. [Omarosa] was not given a whole lot of hope, but she was not ever going to give up on him."

Duncan had been hospitalized in L.A. since July 13 after experiencing a heart attack. Reports suggest that at the time of the attack girlfriend Stallworth had attempted CPR in order to save the "Kung Fu Panada" star's life. Although moved out of the intensive care in early August, Duncan never truly regained his health or strength. Following Duncan's death, it was finally acknowledged that former Al Gore consultant-turned reality star Stallworth was his fiancée.

According to Peete, Duncan had fought for his life until the end: "One of the things [Omarosa] wanted people to know, [is] he fought, he fought really, really hard. I saw him open his eyes... He would have the Olympics in front of him on the TV... There were moments of hope. There was a lot of hope and she was not giving up on him."

Peete concludes with, "I'm going to really miss him as everybody will."
