This has been one crazy year for the Baltimore Ravens. First Ray Rice was let go after knocking out his wife, Janay Palmer, who was his fiancee at the time in an Atlantic City elevator during Valentine's Day weekend, and now the team's head of security, Darren Sanders, has been accused of assaulting a woman during the team's December 14th game.

According to ESPN, Sanders will not be able to travel with the team during the playoffs, because he was charged with a sex violation.

The 48-year-old was charged Tuesday with a fourth-degree sexual offense, in the Baltimore City District Court. The incident that happened a few weeks ago hasn't been fully described in detail, but Sanders' lawyers revealed that the security director has denied all allegations.

TMZ reports that the woman who allegedly accused Sanders of sexual assault at the M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore during December 14th's game said that she was working at the stadium and was asked to escort the security director to another part of the building, where she claims he "hit and/or groped her buttocks more than once as they walked down the third level hallway."

The alleged victim also claims that Sanders continued as they went to the 3rd floor lobby where he "pressed his body against her's and kissed her neck and attempted to force her to grab his penis."

Sanders' hearing is scheduled for Feb. 9.

"We are investigating this case thoroughly," Ravens senior vice president Kevin Byrne stated to the public this week.

The Ravens executive also revealed that Sanders didn't come into work on Wednesday, put was put on paid leave, and will not travel with the team during the playoff game as they take on the Steelers Saturday night.

Sanders' lawyers say their client hasn't done anything wrong:

"He is innocent and looks forward to his day in court," the law firm of Alperstein & Diener released in a statement.

"Mr. Sanders has worked his entire career to keep others safe as a police officer and as a detective with the Baltimore City Police Department and currently as the senior security director for the Baltimore Ravens," the statement reads. "He is a man who possesses tremendous integrity, and he has worked to ensure public safety by protecting the health, welfare and security of the community."
