The MTV Video Music Awards will stream live online starting at 7:00 p.m. EST tonight September 6, 2012. The lineup of performances, presenters, and nominees are very impressive. Taylor Swift will perform her latest single that shot up to No. 1 "We're Never Ever Getting Back Together" and One Direction are preparing for their biggest performance ever since they first debuted.

Other highly anticipated performances include Rihanna's remix of "Cockiness (Love It)" and "We Found Love" featuring A$AP Rocky, Frank Ocean, Pink, Green Day, Alicia Keys, Katy Perry, Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj. Swift is not the only performing a brand new hit live. Keys will debut her new single from her new album "Girl on Fire" and Lil Wayne will debut "No Worries."

Presenters for the night include Katy Perry, who is also up for four nominations herself, and Demi Lovato, Ke$ha, Miley Cyrus, Andy Samberg, Rashida Jones, The Wanted, and U.S. Women's Gymnastics Team "The Fierce Five."

Gabby Douglas, McKayla Maroney, and Kyla Ross of The Fierce Five confessed to MTV who they would like to present to the most. Maroney hoped she could present to Justin Bieber since she is a self-professed belieber, while Douglas longed to present to Lil Wayne.

Among the nominee, new artist Carly Rae Jepsen is obviously included in the list for her ridiculously addictive summer hit "Call Me Maybe" which broke Lady Gaga's top record of holding the No. 1 spot on Billboard for the longest period. She is up against other top contenders One Direction, fun, and The Wanted, who is also from the same label as Jepsen.

Jepsen gushed to ABC News Radio, "I never really think beyond being nominated and getting to have a great night and, to me, the real victory is getting to wear a really pretty dress and walk down the red carpet. That's the bees' knees right there!"

Newcomers definitely have taken the spotlight in music in the past year with the emergence of Jepsen, One Direction, and Autralian singer Gotye, who famously stripped for his "Somebody That I Used to Know" video. One newcomer to the VMAs who has become a pop sensation is South Korean rapper Psy who will make an appearance at the award tonight. Though he has not been nominated, it wouldn't be surprising to see him break out into the "Gangnam Style" horse dance.

The host for this year's VMAs is comedian and actor Kevin Hart. He tweeted the day before that he couldn't sleep due to the excitement surrounding the awards night. He is anticipating something crazy and surprising to happen.

"You have to expect the unexpected, I mean that's the beauty of having a live show. So literally- I'm welcoming the nonsense," Hart also said to CNN. "I hope something crazy DOES happen. It gives me more material, it gives me more stuff to play with so I honestly hope something does happen. I WANT Robert and Kristen to come. I want to see it! I want to see it be awkward. I want to see 'em not really speak and hug and try to pretend in front of the press. I think it'll be hilarious."

The final trailer for Twilight Sage: Breaking Dawn Part 2 will also be premiered tonight and it's unknown whether Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will show up for the moment.

Special mystery guess appearances are expected to add some fun to the night.

The live streaming of the pre-show starts at 7:00 p.m. EST. The official start is at 8:00 p.m. EST. Click HERE to watch the live streaming online.
