Chris Rock, Malaak Compton-Rock Divorce: Rosario Dawson Rumors Addressed In Comedian's Split

Comedian Chris Rock and wife of 9 years, Malaak Compton-Rock have filed for divorce and the "Top Five" actor is denying rumors that the split was caused by co-star, Rosario Dawson.

According to Page Six, the actor who filed papers before Christmas in New Jersey is only concerned about his children.

 "He lives for his children," the source added, "They come first. When he was doing a publicity tour for 'Top Five,' he made it clear it had to be scheduled around being able to take his daughters to school and pick them up."

The source added that the rumors surrounding an affair with cat mate Dawson are completely false, "There is no truth to that. The rumor is 100 percent untrue."

The earlier source added, "Chris just wasn't happy in the marriage anymore. There is no third party involved . . . Chris and his wife had previously separated and got back together, so there have been problems for some time."

Chris's camp were shocked that his estranged wife mentioned their split during a recent charity event, "Being fortunate enough to lead a life of service by working with those most vulnerable makes me well aware of life's blessings, even when faced with difficulties." The source added, "It seemed odd to mention her work when confirming their divorce."
