Anderson Cooper, Piers Morgan Beef: ‘360’ Host Slams Former CNN Anchor During NYE Celebration With Kathy Griffin – “Dying For A Twitter War” [VIDEO]

It looks like New Year's Eve wasn't all celebrations, confetti and ball dropping. While co-hosting the New York City New Year's ceremony with comedian Kathy Griffin, CNN's Anderson Cooper 360 host (Anderson Cooper...) took some time to drop something of his own –– like a serious slam on former CNN Piers Morgan Live host, Piers Morgan.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, it all went down while Griffin was discussing a time she was having a conversation with famed actor Sidney Poitier. She then noted that during a snapshot the two took, Morgan ended up unintentionally photobombing the picture with his hand. To that, Cooper joked, "Piers who?"

Oh SNAP!

On the anchor's joke, Griffin assure that he would be getting some nasty tweets, "mostly from Piers," as she put it. Which led Cooper down the rabbit hole even further to say that the Larry King replacement was "dying for a Twitter war."

Apparently the two hosts have had a somewhat negative history, with the former Live host penning an essay in the Hollywood Reporter a couple of months ago in which he said about Cooper, "...for al his qualities as a reporter is stiff in a studio and gets annihilated in the ratings every night by O'Reilly."
