Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice is getting ready for prison today, but before going away for 15 months, the reality star tried desperately to make some money to help alleviate the countless bills her family has racked up the past few years.

"Teresa is still trying to rack up the pay days," a source told Radar Online. "She was looking for paid holiday photo gigs with her family and personal appearances. She is trying to pocket all the money she can before heading off to the big house."

However, it seems the RHONJ star was out of luck when it came to hustling for some cash.

"We're told nobody even wanted her for press on New Year's Eve," the source said.

The problem may have been due to the exorbitant amount the Bravo star was charging for an appearance. As MStars News reported, the network wanted to film Teresa spending the holidays with her family, but her asking price was way too much.

"After all of the options were considered, Bravo did approach Teresa about filming prior to her heading off to prison with the intent of working her into the new season," according to Radar. "However, she was insisting she wanted an astronomical paycheck. Much to her surprise, they turned her down."

Teresa's impending prison date has also put the next season of the hit reality show influx, while producers figure out what they want to do with new cast members Teresa Aprea, Nicole Napolitano, and Amber Marchese.

"If Bravo finds out that the public perception of the current cast is positive, they will likely begin filming in February; however, they are also exploring the option of putting on the show on a hiatus until the fall," a source told the tabloid site. "This would allow them to play around with the cast if need be and film around the normal timeframe the show films in, which is typically the fall."
