Tornado Warning Today: Track Local NY/NJ Storms [LIVE STREAM]

A sever weather warning (including a watch for tornadoes) has been issued for much of the Northeast - including much of New York state and Northwest New Jersey - for all of Saturday, Sept. 8.

The National Weather Service issued a statement on Saturday warning of significant severe thunderstorms across the tri-state, some which may development into widespread damaging winds and a few tornadoes.

Authorites warn people in the area to remain indoors or find a safe haven for the time being (storms are expected to slow down around 9 p.m.).
