Jenny McCarthy & Donnie Wahlberg Recreate Steamy Romance Novel Covers For New A&E Reality Show 'Donnie Loves Jenny'

Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg have recreated a series of steamy romance novel covers to promote their brand new A&E reality show Donnie Loves Jenny ahead of its premiere tonight, Wednesday Jan. 7 at 10.30 p.m. The Sirius XM 'Dirty Sexy Funny with Jenny McCarthy' host and Wahlburgers and New Kids on the Block star Wahlberg married on August 31 last year.

According to US Weekly, the pair have recreated as a series of steamy romance novel covers to promote their new show. You can check the covers out here via US Weekly.

McCarthy explained to US Weekly that they've had a blast making the reality show. "We really enjoy being with each other and we enjoy making television, it's in our blood," the radio host explained. "We said, let's do some high vibrational TV, let's keep that energy going and see if we can be part of a shift where there is an audience for people that want to see some happy and some good, instead of some dark."

She went on, saying: "I think people are going to be really surprised at how freakin' hilarious Donnie is," McCarthy told Us. "I mean, when I started dating him, I was like, 'Oh my gosh, he is brilliantly funny!' So I'm glad people will get a chance to see that in him."

The pair also went on Today's Kathie Lee & Hoda, chatting to Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb, with Wahlberg saying they're not concerned about the show ruining their relationship. "We're not really worried about [the reality TV curse]...we always say reality TV shows don't break up couples, couples break up couples."

For the premiere - "The Wedding" - you can expect lots of fireworks. As the episode synopsis says, "As Donnie and Jenny's wedding days gets closer, Jenny goes ahead to chicago for final prep while Donnie is stuck with the unuasual task of get her dress there in one piece."

It goes on to say "Donnie nervously awaits the tour bus arrival of his mom Alma, who doesn't fly, and preps a special wedding surprise just for her. Jenny's son Evan Donnie's NKOTB bandmates and the rest of their soon-to-be-blended families help them realize just how lucky they are to have a second chance at happily ever after."
