Jennifer Lopez might have just started up her gig on American Idol again this week, but is the judge on the reality series about to start up her relationship again with former lover Casper Smart. The 45-year-old singer and her 27-year-old flame reportedly rang in the New Year together, and after all you know what they say, "the way you spend your New Year's is the way you spend the rest of the year.'
According to Entertainment Tonight, Smart was on hand for Jennifer's New Year's Eve showcase of her Las Vegas show "The Best is Yet To Come," at Caesars Palace, earlier this month.
Multiple sources confirmed to the news site that the former flames are indeed back together. The pair split this past summer when allegations that Casper had stepped out on Lopez began making their way onto the Internet. However, the two remained friendly after the split and were even spotted together multiple times since calling it quits.
The star also opened up in the January 2015 issue of Self magazine, where she claims that she is an addict of love. In the interview she also tries to clear up some of the clichés about women not being able to date younger men, maybe clearing a path to reconcile with Smart?
"All the old clichés about women need to be undone," the "On The Floor" singer explained. "Enough already. We're in the other position now. We are desirable older, we can date younger guys and it's not this big taboo. Men have been doing this for years, and it's no big deal."
She also explained that after each breakup ended she found herself in so much pain that she "found the comfort in someone else. That's called being a love addict."
Lopez seems that she has conquered the addiction by facing her fears, as she states, "First it was learning to love myself. And then it was about facing my fears."
