Rumors about Giada de Laurentiis and John Mayer have definitely been heating up the kitchen. The Food Network star filed for a divorce from her husband Todd Thompson earlier this year and caused the media to wonder why the couple was separating after 11 years of marriage. One of the theories being that Giada was having a steamy love affair with John.
According to E! News, Star magazine posted a cover story that Giada not only was shacking up with Mayer while she was married but also with Bobby Flay and Matt Lauer.
However, it seems like Giada has had enough of these false rumors and she took to Gossip Cop to clear them up today in an exclusive interview. The singer not only told the site that she had never been with John Mayer, but also cleared up rumors that she was stepping out on her husband with her co-workers Lauer and Flay.
"I have never ever been romantically involved with John Mayer. I met him twice at least 5 or 6 years ago at public events along with hundreds of other people," Giada explained to Gossip Cop. "The small amount of face time with John was in rooms filled with other attendees at these events. I have not seen or even heard from him since. The allegation of an affair was a fabrication back in 2010 and remains so today."
She then addressed the rumors about Bobby and Matt saying, "My long time friendships with my co-works Matt Lauer and Bobby Flay are exactly that — long-term friendship. There has never been a romantic relationship with these two men."
In related news, John has been making headlines after spending the night with his former girlfriend Katy Perry. According to Us Weekly, the who were spotted having dinner together with some friends and then headed back to Katy's house in Los Angeles.
