'Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition' Remastered Arrives For PS3, Vita, Free For PS Plus [WATCH]

A remastered version of the 1996 classic PC game, Duke Nukem 3D, arrives for modern day gamers. Courtesy of Devolver Digital, Abstraction Games and General Arcade, the HD update of the third-person shooter videogame, Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition, is now available for PS3, Vita, and is also free for PS Plus owners.

According to Computer and Videogames, the remastered PC original comes with all three official add-on packs. There are also "carefully restored" visuals, plus new Trophies. The Megaton Edition contains the full version, which has all four exciting episodes.

Back in the late '90s, Duke Nukem changed the gaming industry with its gunplay, interactivity, and wicked sense of humor. Much like his action hero counterparts, Duke Nukem embodies the action icons of Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger with his tough guy persona. Listen to voice actor Jon St. John as he shouts, "Hail to the king, baby!"

Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition contains all four officially released episodes of the iconic shooter.

Duke Caribbean: Life's a Beach lets the gamer grab their water gun while Duke battles vacationing aliens on the beach side of hotels, tropical lagoons, and a cruise ship.

Duke It Out in D.C. follows Duke to Washington D.C. to stop an alien invasion. Duke has to fight it out against extraterrestrials in White House, the Lincoln Memorial, and FBI headquarters.

Duke: Nuclear Winter drops Duke in the middle of winter wonderland. The lone shooter gets into the holiday spirit by bringing the battle to the North Pole and Santa.
