Kendrick Lamar, Iggy Azalea BFF: Rapper Defends 'Fancy' Star From Hip Hop Drama

Australian rapper Iggy Azalea gets support from TDE rapper Kendrick LamarIn an interview with Billboard.com, the celebrity supported the "Fancy" rapper despite the backlash she has received from Hip Hop artists especially rival female rapper Azealia Banks.

"She's doing her thing. Let her. People have to go through trials and tribulations to get where they at. Do your thing, continue to rock it, because obviously God wants you here," he said.

After Azealia Banks's controversial Hot 97 interview, the young star was bashed, Iggy Azalea and Action Bronson. Celebrity Q-Tip defended the 23-year-old via twitter to address the young artist passionate interview, "Never forget that Hip Hop is the Civil Rights Movement's love child," she added, "Coming off the heels of the CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT and approaching the end of the Vietnam war it was a crossroads 4 America."

Q-Tip added, "Hip-Hop is a creative artistic and socio-political movement/culture that sprang from the disparate ghettos of NY in the early 1970's."

After Action Bronson questioned Azealia's comments questioning Hip Hop importance to the black community, which to her seemed to be getting whitewashed, he tweeted her, "BOOOOO *PEOPLE THIS IS UR CIVIL RIGHTS ACTIVIST*??? COME ON."

Both Singer Solange Knowles and rapper Tyler The Creator came to her defense via twitter.

The "Sol-Angel" singer question Action Bronson for his "Civil Rights" statement before hinting that she may have added Azealia to her team, "Signed......a music fan. A black girl."

Jumping to the young rapper's defense, Tyler showed support writing, "I LOVE PASSIONATE PEOPLE SPEAK YOUR FUCKING MIND BE A FREE BIRD FUCK EVERYONE YES."
