Warner Bros. has put together the biggest names in Hollywood to the phenomenal cast of the super-villain team, Task Force X. Will actress Viola Davis (How To Get Away With Murder) turn Amanda Waller into a "big powerful black woman" in the Suicide Squad movie and other DC Comics movies?

As we previously mentioned, when the government has a mission too hot for the superheroes to handle, they send in the bad guys to take care of the business. In a plot reminiscent of The Dirty Dozen, if the Suicide Squad - which includes the captured band of super-villains Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang - survives their deadly mission, their prison sentence will then be reduced.

In the biggest casting news event, Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jared Leto (Joker), Will Smith (Deadshot), Tom Hardy (Rick Flag), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), and Cara Delevingne (Enchantress) have all signed on the dotted line to star in writer/director David Ayer (End of Watch)'s action/heist flick

In the mythology, the team is run by government agent, Amanda Waller, who has earned the nickname "The Wall" by her apeers. Reportedly, the Disturbia actress will be seen alongside Deathstroke, aka Slade Wilson, in the adaptation.

In an interview with Nerd Report, The Help actress will be doing research on her comic book character once she works out her schedule.

Davis explains her fascination with her comic book alter ego, "I think that she is a massive contradiction. She's this big powerful black woman, hard, ready to pick up a gun and shoot anyone at will. I'm fascinated in exploring her psychology, just put it that way. And I'm excited to pick up a gun."

According to The Wrap, Davis is close to signing a multi-picture deal, which could lead to the two-time Oscar winner reprising the role in other DC Comics movies. We're crossing our fingers for an appearance in Shazam, starring Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. We await confirmation from Warner Bros. and Davis' agents.

We also mentioned that Task Force X will be seen in Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham as "The Squad." The name has changed because this is a kids game and you don't want them saying "suicide."

The Suicide Squad feature film is scheduled to open in August 5, 2016. Readers, are you excited to see Viola Davis as Amanda Waller on the big screen?
