The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Spoilers - Series Regular Leaving - Are Nina Dobrev, Kat Graham, Paul Wesley & Ian Somerhalder Staying Or Going?

Mystic Falls is about to lost another major cast member, as one of the stars of the hit CW series, The Vampire Diaries, is getting ready to say goodbye to their TV family. While the show has been a revolving door over the last few seasons, this marks the first time in a while that a major cast member is calling it quits. So who will it be to bid ado to the series, Elena (Nina Dobrev), Bonnie (Kat Graham), Stefan (Paul Wesley) or Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen)?

According to Just Jared Jr., Jeremy is expected to leave the series in an upcoming episode of season 6. The star is said to be saying goodbye to Elena, Bonnie, Caroline and the rest of the gang in the 14^th episode of this season. So all you Jeremy fans better get your fill in during the next four episodes, because you won't be seeing him for a while.

Julie Plec, who is the executive producer behind the supernatural series, spoke to TV Guide about the departure, saying that the cast is going all out for McQueen's last day and they will be sad to see him go.

"We're actually saying goodbye to one of our character in the 14^th episode," Plec explained to the publication.

As for the reason why McQueen decided to throw in the towel, Plec explained that the star wants to pursue other interests. Jeremy fans can also breathe a sigh of relief as Jeremy will not be leaving Mystic Falls in a body bag, but rather in a car, as his character is headed off to art school.

"[Jeremy] is going to art school," Julie explained of the character. "We'll see what his next path and journey is, [but Steven R. McQueen] is all grown-up and ready to move on, so we're saying goodbye to him as a series regular."

As for how the cast and crew bid Jeremy farewell, Plec stated, "we got him a cake and dressed as superheroes and gave him a big party!"

Sounds like the best way to go out.
