Gary Oldman will divorce his fourth wife Alexandra Edenborough, with the English singer-songwriter citing irreconcilable differences with The Dark Knight and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes star. Oldman - famous for his terrific, exacting roles in True Romance, The Fifth Element, Hannibal and his parts in the Harry Potter and Dark Knight franchises as Sirius Black and Jim Gordon respectively - and Edenborough were married on New Year's Eve in 2008.

According to People Magazine (citing radaronline.com) the 36 year old Edenborough, an English jazz/electronica singer, cites the reason for the split as "irreconsilable differences" and has asked that 56 year old Oldman — whose movies have him as the 13th highest grossing actor of all time — "pay spousal support and her attorney's fees, and asks that the court not award him spousal support, in turn."

As The Daily Mail report, Oldman married Leslie Manville in 1987 and they split in1989, but share a son Alfie who is 26. Oldman "then went on to marry Uma Thurman in 1990, after they met on the set of State Of Grace, but that ended after two years."

The Daily Mail add that "During his troubled marriage to his third wife, Donya Fiorentino, she accused the English star of hitting her during a fight. Oldman eventually won sole legal and physical custody of their two sons Gulliver, 17, and Charlie, 15, after their split in 2001."

As People report, during an interview to support the 2014 release of RoboCop Oldman told The Independent that he probably shouldn;t have gotten married as young as he did. "I'm not proud to say that though," Oldman said. "But I've had a few goes at it now, so I've probably learned something from the first three. Practice makes perfect. Isn't that what they say?"

As for his marriage to Edenborough, Oldman added somewhat sadly, considering current circumstances: "I'm not proud that this is my fourth marriage. But this is a good one. Hopefully, my last one."

As per Digital Spy, Oldman "will next appear on the big screen in the crime thriller Child 44, an adaptation of Tom Rob Smith's 2008 novel also starring Tom Hardy and Noomi Rapace."
