Britney Spears 'X-Factor' Contract: Enforces Strict 'No-Booze' Rule Backstage

Looks like "X-Factor" judge Britney Spears has cleaned up her act both on and offstage. On the Wednesday premiere episode of the hit competition show "X-Factor," Spears hit the judge's table in a ravishingly sexy dress, prepared to give contestants a brutally honest and straightforward piece of her mind. But it doesn't appear that Spears' blunt honesty has anything to do with a dose of "liquid courage," considering the "Toxic" star made sure that no alcohol would be present backstage during the "X-Factor" auditions.

According to Us Magazine, Spears' entourage handed out a note to all backstage hands at the Austin, Texas venue that read, ''Very important. We require you to empty minibars of all alcohol. And no gifts of wine or any other alcoholic beverages, please.''

Good for Spears, who finally seems to be taking her recovery seriously (the "Piece of Me" songstress entered a number of rehab and treatment facility stints back in 2007... remember that incident when she shaved her head? Probably one of Spears' biggest low points in both her career and personal life).

But the booze-ban seems to be working for the 30-year-old pop princess. According to fellow judge Simon Cowell, Spears is a delightful, hardworking woman who takes her job very seriously: "In the past, we've had judges who never say no. She can't say no quick enough on this show. She's quite difficult to please. But she's a fascinating person and I got to like her a lot."

Following the shooting of the first episode, Spears told reporters, "I was really nervous. You have all these people behind you and you know they're rooting on you. It's a really exciting, electrifying thing to do."

(But reports can't be all-too positive; there must be some signs of Spears' cattiness somewhere. According to one inside source, along with alcohol, Spears also banned "pretty women" from the set - "Britney has stipulated that none of the backstage staff working with her are too pretty or stylish. Hmmm, at least Spears and fellow "X-Factor" judge and former Disney star Demi Lovato appear to be getting along well enough!)
